Amazing capture! That looks like a big fish (do you know what kind?) trying to make a desperate escape here! So does the bird really manage to win the battle and gulp that whole thing okay? Does the fish put up a good fight, if eaten does the unlucky prey get swallowed wriggling all the way down as well?!

I think it was a small bass. He did manage to fall out of the Great Blue Herons (Bird) mouth. The Great Blue recaptured him very quickly. The fish st times is speared by the birds beak, other times the bird will just hold it in it's beak for a bit of time eventually swallowing the fish whole.
